The night I arrived in Baden-Baden there was absolutely no snow on the ground. Huge fluffy star-like flakes had just began to slowly float to the ground. But since every weather report called for clear and sunny skies for the next week, I did not take it seriously. Upon awaking the next morning, the village had been magically transformed by the snow. Not coming from a region known for its snow, I was entranced. The entire day, I walked back and forth from the Abbey to the village through the park and next to the river enjoying the wintery scene. I must say it was extremely cold and I was overjoyed to return to the sunny and warm south of France, but what a beautiful weekend in Baden-Baden.
